Why should I hire a videographer that records in high definition (HD)? Fox Video Studio's currently records all of our weddings in HD, we then reformat the recordings to DVD quality. This process will give you some of the best quality available today. If you have your wedding taped in a lower video quality, you will never be able to get a higher quality out of that video.

Why can't I have my video in HD right now? Currently, there are no video standards in place that can play high definition. The industry is currently working on two formats, Blue Ray and HD-DVD, but they are still new and there are no hardware devices that are currently widely available for playing these formats. The industry is expect to have the equipment available and widely used within the next five years. Fox Video Studio's is currently archiving all of the footage we tape, so at a later date, and for a very small fee, we can give you your wedding in HD format.

What kind of equipment do you use? Fox Video Studio's uses Sony HDV HD video cameras. We use two UHF wireless microphones, for capturing audio during the wedding ceremony and two shot gun microphones that are amounted on top of the video cameras. Using the four microphones allows us flexibility in recording the best quality audio available.

Why are two video cameras better than one? Using two cameras allows for a viewing experience similar to broadcast television. It also allows us to be in more than one location at a time. Having this flexibility allows us to capture close up shots, while still maintaining the broad shots to capture every moment just as if you are reliving your day.

Why not have a family member or a friend videotape my wedding day? The equipment that will be available to your family member or friend will not be the same quality equipment or expertise in events as what a videographer would have to offer to you. It will also take away from their enjoyment of your special day because they will be too busy trying to capture all of the events that will be unfolding. Your wedding day is something that cannot be recreated, if the taping is not the quality you were wanting, there is no way to tape it again.
